Frequently Asked Questions

What is arbitrage?

Arbitrage is a sports betting strategy that ensures a guaranteed profit regardless of the outcome of a game. Our algorithms scan all the different offerings from various sportsbooks and tell you exactly when/what to bet to make the most money possible.

Does arbitrage really work?

Yes! Arbitrage might sound too good to be true, but it does indeed work, and it’s the best way to ensure you’re making money sports betting.

What is EV?

EV stands for “Expected Value” and represents the amount of money someone should expect to make from placing a bet, meaning we can use data available to us to find out which bets have greater value than others. Not every bet you place with the EV method is guaranteed to hit, but consistently placing bets with positive EV is a reliable and data-driven way to make informed betting decisions.

What is line comparison?

Line comparison is done by cross-referencing different sportsbooks and finding the most favorable payout for whatever bet you are trying to place. Since sportsbooks offer different payouts for the same bet, line comparison can be a very profitable tool if used correctly.

How much money should I place on a single bet?

That’s up to you! With arbitrage, you can scale your wagers up or down at any time depending on your bankroll. All you need to know is the more arbitrage opportunities you take advantage of, the more money you will make.

Why are there no arbitrage opportunities showing?

If it’s early in the day, there might not be arbitrage opportunities showing because the sports books haven’t updated the lines yet. Don’t worry though, if games are about to start or already going on, all you need to do is hit the “Reload” button and you should start to see some bets to place.

Why are there no EV opportunities showing?

If there are no EV bets showing, that means that PrizePicks hasn’t uploaded their picks, which typically happens around noon every day.

What is considered a favorable percentage to hit for EV?

You only need a slight statistical edge to have a favorable EV, so a good rule of thumb is any bet above 50% and your EV will be in the green.

How much money can I win from EV betting and arbitrage?

Short answer — a lot. Using betting methods such as EV betting and arbitrage is the most data-driven and consistent way to bet. The more you place, the more money you will make.
